Can whiskerDocs provide prescriptions?

Yes. Depending on your state of residence, whiskerDocs may be able to provide prescriptions if our triage process determines it may be needed. You will connect with one of our licensed veterinary technicians who will assess your pet’s condition and determine whether the situation is serious enough to potentially require treatment and whether that treatment could potentially be provided without a trip to a vet hospital. You will then be offered a virtual video appointment with a veterinarian in your state who can then provide a prescription if one is deemed necessary. Note that we do not write prescriptions for preventative wellness and will direct any such requests back to your primary veterinarian.
